Dears,
I have the situation where there are two nodes of IIB and MQ gateway Queue manager as a gateway for services consumers and a gateway queue manager for the providers. Currently each provider establish one continuous connection with the providers gateway to listen for any message arriving from the IIB. A new requirement required to add one more provider queue manager so there will be two queue managers in active-active mode o achieve load distribution and load balancing. Having the limitation that I can't change the providers application to listen to more than one queue manager (they are old and no one can update them). what is the best solution to utilize the new queue manager for load balancing.
If I used load balancer and assign the IP of the old queue manager to it, the load balancer will choose one of the queue manager and establish the only connection with , so if the message arrive to the other queue manager it will not be consumed. Is there a way to solve this mess |

Can you run multiple instances of this providers application? One connecting to each queue manager?
Cheers

Unfortunately only we have the capability to do this with only one of the providers application. The others are black box for us.
I'm just thinking can triggering and trigger monitors have a role in this?! |

If you can't manually start more than more instance of the application, then I'm not sure how trigger starting it will help? You could presumably only trigger start one instance?
Could you elaborate what means you can't have more than one instance running? Have you got state that can't be shared perhaps? Or something else?
Cheers
