You don't - you use that command to determine which linear log files are redundant.

You have to use normal os/file tools to do the right things with linear logs.
The current recommendation from the MQ team - or at least senior members of it - is that linear logging does not provide significant value on top of circular logging - if you're having to do frequent media recovery then your problem isn't MQ based.
So you should use circular logging and then deal with the problems that cause media failures. Fire a disk admin, for example...  _________________ chmod -R ugo-wx / |

If you must have linear logs, then try supportpacs -
ms62 or MS0L or just google "MQ Linear log cleanup" |
