Hello,
Did any of you experienced a scrambling of (the uppercase) French characters when moving messages from a Solaris based MQM to an AIX based MQM?
The JMS code has been tested on the AIX MQM and worked fine, when we started to get the 'real' stuff from the business partner (Solaris MQM) the english text was fine, all lower case French characters were fine (even the ones that had accents: ê, è, é) all upper case French characters were presented as the same one: 'ÿ' (a funny "y" with a couple of dots on top?!?!)
Any ideas where/how we can fix things?

It sounds like a CCSID probem.
Have you checked that CCSIDs on both queue managers are correct ? _________________ Regards.

One MQM is on Sun and uses CCSID 819, the other is in on AIX and uses CCSID 1208. Does this matter, should this matter? |
