There are regular opportunities in Australia, based on a recruiting agencies that approach me on linkedin nearly every month. There are many large companies based in Sydney and Melbourne which use these products on a wide range of platforms. You would need to investigate the visa and legal requirements for working here. _________________ Glenn |

Yes - they check for a copy of Rolf Harris singing "2 Liitle Boys" at Customs. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Good call. My mother was a Rolf Harris fan & my early years were warped by this sort of thing. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

The incoming passenger card does ask "Do you have any criminal convictions?" _________________ Glenn |

You must have heard the joke about the Englishman arriving in Australia and is asked "Do you have any criminal convictions?". He answers "I didn't think we still needed to have one"...
For those who don't follow this - this refers back to the time when England shipped out many thousands of its criminals to Australia as a penal colony - about 20% of modern Australians are descendants of these. _________________ Well, I don't think there is any question about it. Australia is largely a nation of migrants. There were 164K convicts shipped from the UK during 1788-1868, but 7M free migrants have arrived in later times. There are now over 1M ex-pat UK citizens here. Hence the popularity of Cricket, English Football and Rugby codes. Prior to 1788 the only residents were Aborigines, who migrated here ~50,000 years ago.

There could be opportunities in India in this space, eg Accenture, IBM Global Technology Services. These companies also operate in AU. _________________ Glenn |
