Hi All,
I am not able to connect to local broker from my IIB9 toolkit. I am able start stop broker from console but not able to connect it from toolkit.

I am getting below error.

Could not connect to queue manager 'IB9QMGR' (MQ reason code 2495 ; MQJE001: Completion Code '2', Reason '2495'.)

I added environment variable MQ_INSTALL_ROOT=C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\java\lib

But issue not resolved.

Please suggest your thought for this.

When you did your MQ install, did you install the Client libraries?
You need to perform a custom install to get the choice.

What patch level of the products are you running? It is always helpful to us to include them in your post.

I believe this problem will be fixed at the next patch level...

Strange that... I can connect to my IIB 9.0.0.3 broker (MQ 8.0.0.2) from my toolkit running on the same machine.
However, I created my Queue Manager and Broker using my own scripts.
I've always done that ever sind running into problems with the default configuration oh, back around V6.1.0.3 days.

To the OP,
you may well be able to connect to the broker by defining remote connection.
Well worth a try.

You're going to love IIBv10 Developer.

I tried it out last week at Hursley. Some features are ok, some are meh!
I need to try it out in my environment to see how fast it is. New new features of the toolkit look good on the surface but if they slow me down (productivity wise) then they just won't get used. Us are pretty set in our ways.

Time will tell.

I was referring ironically to the way to Toolkit spins up it's own internal broker when you start it, and spins it down when you close.

No more personalized creation scripts.

Obviously you missed the personalization or the manual startup of the toolkit:
Code:
iib toolkit without testnode

Have fun
