Hi,

We were successfully able to establish a connection between broker v8 to a new SQL server 2005 DB as we are moving from an existing Oracle DB to SQL DB. The mqsicvp for the new connection says the connection is verified and we used the below in the odbc64.ini file,

[ODBC Data Sources]
SQLSERVERDB=DataDirect 6.0 ODBC SQL Server Wire Protocol

[SQLSERVERDB]
Driver=/opt/wmb80/ODBC/V6.0/lib/UKmsss24.so
Description=DataDirect 6.0 ODBC SQL Server Wire Protocol
Address=hostIP,port
AnsiNPW=Yes
Database=DB name
QuotedId=No
ColumnSizeAsCharacter=1
LoginTimeout=0

[ODBC]
InstallDir=/opt/wmb80/ODBC/V6.0
UseCursorLib=0
IANAAppCodePage=4
UNICODE=UTF-8

We are able to successfully connect to the tables under the DB and write into it and read from it as well through queries that fetch minimal data(I assume this, as queries returning one record or a few records only seems to work fine) whereas, when we try fetching a significantly large amount of records through any query int he flow, we get the following error

'odbc sql driver connection is busy with results for another hstmt'

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Cheers
Kaushik

P.S: I apologize if the query has been answered in another post already. I tried looking but I could not find answers anywhere. Kindly point me to any post or link that you think can answer the question.

don't you realise that SQLServer 2005 went out of support in 2011?

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

Thank you smdavies99. I will take it up with the DBAs.Still, the thought worries me that there are no work arounds for this scenario.

Cheers!!

you might not need a work around when using a supported version of SQLServer. By that I mean a version that is supported by the version of Broker that you are using.

If then you still get problems then raise a PMR with IBM.
