We have configured the soaprequest node to time out after 55 seconds. But we are seeing time outs between 15 - 30 seconds
Is there a reason why this is happening? we don't see any data coming back either.
Is there a way to find out why that connection closed after 15sec

That's the timeout that the SoapRequest node itself will wait.

It has no relationship at all to the timeout of the service being called.

What is the input node of your flow?

You might want to check the time out value of the service you are trying to invoke via soap request node, the time out of that service might be less than the value you have set in request node.
