Hi, I am not too familiar with how SVRCONN channels work between two servers, but as far as I know, the channel supposed to connect to our application (Linux) server. I know that the channel config is correct on my end, but if I want to change the channel name to something more meaningful, is there a similar named channel on the application server that has to be changed, too? |

Well, SVRCONN channels are for MQ Clients to connect to and by default when they issue an MQCONN they create a CLNTCONN and the name of that must match the SVRCONN.
You said "application server" and I might infer that you mean a JEE applicaiton server and yes, they need to change the configuration to match your new channel name (which is a good idea to make it meaningful). |

Yes, I meant a JEE application server. I suspected that the admin in charge of the app server needs to change the config for the client connection.
Thanks a lot for answering my question. |
