Hi,

Question:

I need help on how to connect to SAP and Legacy System using the IBM MQ/WMQSI. If any one can tell where I can find the document or related material, it will be helpful to me.

Please advise.

Regards Always

Good old SAP. It might keep us integrators in high cotton for decades to come.

There are lots of solutions out there to mention but generally I would recommend one of the adapters. These adapters are "off the shelf" packages that get you up and running fairly quickly. Here are a few suggestions from my experiences:

1. If you are only using IDOCs, use IBM's MQLink for R/3. Elegant in its simplicity.
2. If you are using IDOCS and/or BAPIs, then you have some deciding to do:

a. NEON/Sybase has one that is okay, but there is some price attached that revolves around the ability to create SAP-based WMQI formats. Could be useful if you are NEON literate.
b. iWay is kind of a clunker and they didn't always react real well to customer issues.
c. Peregrine -- don't go there (if they are even in business these days)
d. Roll your own.

There are others out there, these are just the ones that I worked with.

Good Luck

Don't forget the IBM mysap.com adapter - this works with both WBI (ICS) and WMQI.

This is composed of both a runtime component and a build time object discovery agent which enables meta data to be created in WMQI/ICS.

Cheers
