Connecting To 156.5.30.49...Could not open connection to the host, on port 1423:
Connect failed |
Possibly:
The listener is not running
The listener is listening on a different port, not 1423
You have a firewall somewhere between client and server, preventing the connection. |
Additional reasons to check into
- the listener is not running under a userid in the MQ group
- The max channels has been reached

HI Saper,mvic,
Evrything seems to be fine not even with the networrk.
Presntly the channel is running and messages are able to be delivered to the destination. But doubt it could be a problem again.Dont know why that happens.
The only reason that i could doubt is the number of channels on the MB machine.there are around 170 channels altogether.but this is not exceeding the default limits even.Any way we tried stopping few channels and look if it works previously, which didnot help out.So must be some other reason.Cheked for all the reasons mentioned. But not these. Can any body give me a suggesion. _________________ Jogi |

Hi Kevin,
The firewall is disabled and no rebbot is being done. The channel is kept running at times and causing the said problems. This is happening frequently.and this is the problem with this only qmanager.and no other qmanagers are having such problems. Not even an FDC created.Dont know the reason behind. _________________ Jogi |

I take it you have an disconnect interval set to 0 on the channel? (Personally I never use this I prefer to trigger the xmitq) |

Hi
Monitor what time it is failing,
Is it in some particular time, did you see any difference at that point of time
in the matter of messages, channel disconnects, anything related to mq series
Thanks and Regards

So what was the resolution? Do you remember? I had similar issue, then it magically fixed, firewall or network folks saying that they did nothing. I was able to ping the port, but, channel ping was failing.
Regards.

You expect him to remember a resolution from a problem 8 years ago??
I don't remember the last time I saw him post..... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
