hi
say I installed 7.5 and then apply a fix pack. If i want to uninstall some components do I need to uninstall the fixpack first? what problems will occur if I didn't uninsall fixpack before uninstalling the components?

On what platform?
On Linux, I think so long as all the components are specified on the rpm command, then rpm works out the dependencies for you.
If you try to uninstall say MQSeriesRuntime* without specifying other components, rpm may refuse because other components require MQSeriesRuntime.
Also, after installing a fix pack, you can't uninstall the underlying component. So for example, after installing fix pack 7.5.0.3 with MQSeriesAMS in it, you can't uninstall MQSeriesAMS for the original version (say 7.5.0.0) as the fix pack contains updates, not a whole install. _________________ Regards
