hi
i thought I would post here instead of Telemetry forum since that forum has low traffic.
i set up MQTT using default configuration and there is a Plaintext channel running on port 1883. This is a web interface because when i browse this port through browser, it gives me "IBM messaging utility sample" . how do you turn this off? thanks |

So the moderators moved this.
The easiest way to turn this off is to not install the SDK in the first place, just install the MQ Telemetry daemon feature, not the SDK feature. |

hi
thanks. i am trying to uninstall the feature, however from Control panel, when i tried to uninstall "IBM Websphere Installation 1", it doesn't give me the option to uninstall telemetry component. While this page: http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/wmqv7/v7r5/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.mq.ins.doc%2Fq009570_.htm tells me to modify the existing Websphere MQ installation. How do I "modify" ?
I also looked in mqxr_win properties file. Can we do something about
com.ibm.mq.MQXR.channel.<ChannelName>.WebContentPath ?
thanks |

Yes, if you blank that out, or delete the folder it points to, and restart the telemetry daemon, you can find out what happens. |
