Good...but don't hold us in suspense, what was the error?
The main things to learn from this is to be methodical:
1. Start at one end and work through...
2. Always check the logs...
3. Use the manuals, or search the web/IBM site...
4. If you have to resort to MQSeries.net, always post as much detail as possible...
And most importantly...have fun with MQ! _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

I think I found the error. |

The error was the definition of the channel. Instead of "Q" I used "O". Example OMGRA instaed of QMGRA. I saw O as Q and Q as O. Typo error. But then alot has learned in terms of troubleshooting and so on which is a + point. |

on version 7.1.0.3 , the behaviour I observed is this
The sender channel was created with a transmission queue that did not exist. Now while trying to start the channel the error AMQ9509: Program cannot open queue manager object. was encountered.
After I created the transmission queue , that was mentioned in the Sender channel , I could start the channel. |

Thank you very much for posting this update, as I've been combing through countless sites and IBM threads in an attempt to nail down the cause of my own "9509" issue with a newly created sender channel.
It turns out I simply needed to create a XMITQ queue on my client host, then verify that the sender channel's XMITQ value matches it. Once I worked out how to do that, all was well.
Thanks again! |
