Hello,

Broker V7 with odbc connection to oracle database.

We received sometimes the following errors:

BIP2393E: Database error: ODBC return code '-1' from data source 'ORACLEDB' using ODBC driver manager 'libbipodbc.so'.
and
BIP2322E: Database error: SQL State '08001'; Native Error Code '0'; Error Text '[IBM][ODBC Oracle Wire Protocol driver]Connection refused. Verify Host Name and Port Number.'. :

Database is up and running fine, when this error occurs.

The errors occurs only sometimes. The Broker/database configuration seems correct, otherwise the error would occur every time.
Broker is running since Dec.2011 with this configuration.

Is it possible that a database or network connection timeout takes effect?

Looking at the network everything is possible, including a firewall idle timeout disconnect
