I have persuaded Paul Clarke (former IBM Hursley developer) to be a speaker at MQ Technical Conference v2.0.1.4 (MQTC). Paul has offered 9 subjects (he'll be presenting 3), so I figured I would let the MQ community pick what they want Paul to present.

If you do end up doing the one on Triggering, please include a page or 2 in the presentation on the nuances of when a trigger message gets consumed. The IBM doc is excellent on when a trigger message is produced, and a lot of people just assume trigger message produced = trigger message consumed 100% of the time and right away, but its not.
I hope you'll do the Keeping My Channels Running presentation - as the 'father' of MQ channels there's no better authority! That one presentation is worth the price of admission for someone that's never had all that info presented in one doc.

Ha! yes, MQ Triggering is one of those 'simple' subjects that has far more subtleties that you would imagine at first glance.
I didn't stipulate to Roger what type of 'Channels' presentation I could give. I guess I was thinking more of Introduction to MQ Channels but you are right that Keep Channels Running was usually a popular session and I don't think it has been done recently.

The one thing I'd like to listen to is on remote QMGR Management with WMQ 7.5 (or higher). Now that the security model had changed using WMQ Explorer to manager remote QMGRs is not as easy as it was before V7.1
I'll be booking my place in the next few days.

Would it be possible to have a session where those in the audience present their 'nifty tricks'. Each would last 5-10 mins max.
Presenting for a whole session might be beyond a number of people but a short slot might persuade a few lurkers to say, yeah I can do that.

That would be a bit tricky for a 75 minute session, but if there is an empty vendor session (45 minute) slot on Wednesday, then we could do a 'talk about your cool MQ application for 5-10 minutes'. Although, we would still need someone to be the moderator.

This reminds me a little of the 'Birds of a feather' sessions that we did/do at the T&M and IMPACT. As you say, they need moderating. I've been to some that were pretty terrible but also some very good ones. It all depends on the audience and the skills mix, however I suspect any session along this lines with be a bit of a hit-and-miss affair. I have to say though, if it was on the agenda I suspect I'd come along.

Why not get hold of the people with Grey Hair (or no hair) in the bar and I am sure they'll tell you if you ply them with the right sort of drink 
Sadly/happily (delete as appropriate) some of us have been around message queuing a lot longer than MQ has been in existence.
