On a linux 64 bit machine , running MQ 7.0.1.4 , if i have configured my qm.ini to use gsk8.
Does it matter which gsk8capicmd vs gsk8capicmd_64 being used to setup/request certificates?
Currently i have strange issue that identical setup where keys requested using gsk8capicmd works but not one from gsk8capicmd_64.
MQClient that connects to above is using MQ 7.5.0.1. At this time i have client authentication , but the certs on client side are requested using gsk7capicmd (32 bit , GSK 7) .
So in summary
MQ Client (GSK 7 , 32 bit) --> MQ Server (GSK 8 , 32 bit) works
MQ Client (GSK 7 , 32 bit) --> MQ Server ( GSK 8 , 64 bit) doesn't
What are the implications of 32 bit vs 64 bit when both are supported ? |

In addition , in non-working server , i only have 64 bit gsk8 packages installed , no 32 bit.
Do we need to install 32 bit always ? |

@iceage... you're very unclear about what works and what doesn't...
You need to be very specific as to what the "what" is that doesn't work.
I don't quite understand your plight as what should be exchanged are requests and certs (X509) in 64 bit encryption as ascii files...
After that it should just be the certs being floated across on the channel.
Make sure to first test without SSL Peer and then introduce SSL Peer carefully. Depending on the platform you might have differences in the order of the multiple OUs... getting the reverse order from what you might have expected...
