hi,

I was informed that there will be an upgrade from Windows Server 2008 to Windows Server 2012.
Do I need any upgrade/update on my MQ Client 7.0.1.3?

Does anyone have any experiance with that and could advise?

Thanks!

First, this link indicates Windows 2012 is not supported. But this link indicates WMQ 7.5 Clients do support Windows 2012.

Second, use this link to download and install the current WMQ 7.0.1 Client with up to date maintenance. Or use this link To download the WMQ 7.5 Client and upgrade before you migrate the box.

When upgrading, check all system/software requirements.

And if you do upgrade from a V7.0 Client to a V7.5 Client, bear in mind the relocation of the mqclient.ini file...

Exalted Erk - Can you give an example (since IBM have not) of a work path versus a file path?

Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error.
