Hi,

We have a server connection channel with SHARECNV as 10. We have a java application connecting to it and application has reached Maximum SHCNV. We have increased the SHARECNV attribute for this channel to 50.
Though the dis chl(chlname) command reflects the change, dis chs(chlname) still shows the old value.
Application has disconnected and then reconnected but still dis chs(chlname) gives the old value of 10.

More Info:
MQ v 7.0.1.3 - Linux

Any pointers will be very helpful here. I hope it doesnt require queue manager bounce.

Thanks and Regards,
Vanu

Channels have two sides and two definitions for each side. For example, a client channel has a SVRCONN and a CLNTCONN.

Many attributes, possibly including SHARECNV, are negotiated to the lower value of each side.
