Hello,
we are running MQ series for AIX ver 5.2
I would like to start writing java mqi programs for mq series and also pcf programs in java for mq series.
I am thinking I need 3 things:
1-jdk 1.3 or greater
2-ma88 java programming support
3-ms0b java programming pcf support.
once I know exactly what it is needed the "unix" guru will set it up for me.
Am I going the right way, or missing something?
where would you install each program also.
thank you!

Yes, you are on the right path.
I would install the JDK and MA88 in their default directories. The main item from MS0B (besides the sample code) is the com.ibm.mq.pcf.jar file. You can copy it to the same directory as MA88 or just put in the same directory as your application (I do the latter).
The one thing you didn't mention is a Java IDE. I strongly, very strongly recommend that you download and use Eclipse ( http://www.eclipse.org ). It is free and has everything you will need to develop your application (i.e. code completion, syntax highlighting, great debugger, etc...)
later
