While creating a queue manager on an AIX machine that hosts 16 queue managers, 6 WMQI brokers and DB2 I have had a number of 'MQSeries object damaged' and also 'Unexpected error(893)' messages while running a set of mqsc decks. I have not come across this before and am speculating that it may be caused by resource shortage in the area of shared memory segments. Has anyone experienced similar and if so did you find out the cause? These symptoms have appeard on two similarly configured machines.

Search for keyword "893" in this forum and you would find a bunch of hits. You should be able to gather more info by looking at them.
In any case, i would have thought you should get an FDC when you got this problem. If you did, paste the FFST off it here to see what could be possibly wrong.
