We are currently on MQv6.0.2.10 and allow a number of client applications to connect in through a SVRCONN channel. The channel has BlockIP2 channel exit running against it.
BlockIP2 allows us to provide and maintain a whitelist of accepted users (userids) - anyone else is blocked from access. This meets our requirements nicely.
We are moving soon to MQv7.5.0.0
My question:
Is it possible to provide, apply and maintain a similar whitelist of userids with MQv7.5.0.0 and CHLAUTH? If so, how do I do it?
Yes, I have read the infocenter/redbooks etc. however I am quite old and fairly stupid so I am sad to say it remains unclear to me whether this is possible.
I am hoping a younger, more intelligent brain will be able to enlighten me.
Thanks and regards. |

Yes it is possible in 7.5. But activity logging is not available. Though I would guess you can tweak AUTHOREV, very basic info though...
I am also old. Most of the folks out here are old. That is why no one has a profile pic ; well victor has one but again it is all blurred to camouflage all the sagging wrinkles. All along I thought wschulz was young till one day his profile said he is retired. Just saying... |

- I don't spell my name like that
- there's nothing changed with the picture; I'd just had a lot of coffee that day
- there are no wrinkles; the hysterical rictus prevents them _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Since Fix Pack 7.5.0.2 is out you should probably go to that version directly. Lots of bug fixes over 7.5.0.0. _________________ Peter Potkay

The profile picture looks familiar, were you at the back of the room?
Cheers

Don't tell him your name Pike! |
And stop calling him Shirley. She doesn't appreciate the confusion. |

We could add the mqseries.net user handles / avatars to the id badges at the user group.
I might suggest that to the chairman - (near enough to kick)... |
