All of a sudden this morning, I got unable to load Java class errors in my toolkit.

I came in to work at 7 AM EST and started working on code, build and compiling my message flow application on a happy day. Everything in the world was good.

Without changing any Java code or message flows that reference my JCN Java code, (i was working on Database node), all of a sudden at 10:10 AM EST, the toolkit told me the bad news:

"unable to locate class definition" for all of my JCNs.

Clean workspace, I told myself. Clean Eclipse I told myself. Google mqseries.net.

http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=45863

Then I found out, iFix 001 was released yesterday.

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=849&uid=swg24035305

Downloading I did, applied the ifix I did, the errors went away.

Its almost as if Toolkit knew it needed an iFix and gave me enough grief to go look for one.

That's what comes when you work with Java.

All that classpath gobblegook is really off putting. It can take more time to sort that out than it is to write the code, as I'm sure that Vitor will agree with me.

What I'd like to do to whoever invented the classpath ->

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

Yes, because LIBPATH is so much easier to work with... Or do I mean LD_LIBRARY_PATH or LIB or ... wait, what platform am I on again?

For clarity : no code changed within my workspace. The only change was downloading the iFix 001.

Yeah, the real concern is that it broke in the first place, if you've actually done nothing...

That kind of error suggests something mucked about with the underlying toolkit file systems...

I recommend that everyone using the MB v8.0.0.2 Toolkit apply this important ifix, especially since FP3 is still 3 months hence.
I guess this 80+MB ifix is in lieu of the original FP3 date. To see all the ills that this fixes (several of which we had been experiencing), look here:
