Hello,

I have a program which connects to a MQ manager on a seperate server.

For some reason I get the following error

Error on receive from host serverB

An error occurred receiving data from serverB over TCP/IP. This may be due to a communications failure.

The return code from the TCP/IP (recv) call was 10054 (X'2746'). Record these values and tell the systems administrator.

I can't seem to find an explanation for this.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Cheers

Mitch

What do you mean by trashing?
I think the error you are getting is due to the MQClient application not issuing an MQCLOSE before exiting.

I have noticed that if you have a tcp/ip clash at times, this error is thrown when you try to start a sdr channel. Changing the ip to dns name instead in the channel definition works for me.

No clue why this would have any significance. But thats how i got around it.

Note, this is for sdr=>rcvr channels and not for client connections. I have not seen this in that regard. But you could always try the same for client connections as well to see if it helps.

Cheers
