Hi,
One of the scenario in our project is, while processing the message if any error occurs, we are inhibiting the input queue and after 10mins we are re-processing the message by placing it to another input queue.
We are acheiving this by using floworder node. To the first terminal of the floworder node, we are conencted it to nodes which will inhibit the queue.
To the second terminal, connected to a compute node in which we wrote a sleep function which delays the processing for 10mins. And after 10mins we are placing the same input message in another queue(for re-processing).
But the problem here is, queue inhibition got happens only after message flow resumes after delay.
But we want in our case, queue inhibition should happen first and then the message flow delay for certain time.
How to achieve this functionality?
Is it a good way to pause the message flow since it wastes the system resources?
In our case why we are delaying the message flow because, in the pause time we are rectifying the error..so that after 10mins when the message got re-processes it will process successfully. How to implement in a better way? |

This very same question was asked a few days ago. It has also been asked many times before.
The general concensus here that this is a pretty bad idea but there are ways to do it.
May I humbly suggest that you use the search facility (upper Right of the screen) and look at these answers.
It is also a good idea to do this before posting new topics here.
