Hi all,
I am trying to perform a silent install of MQ on Solaris by executing the silent.sh from the cdrom.
Doing so, I received the error:
ksh: /cdrom/mq_solaris/silent/silent.sh: cannot execute
All the files in the silent directory have read-only permissions.
Next, I tried to copy the contents of mq_solaris/silent to a writeable directory and changed the permissions to allow execution. Unfortunately the install hangs. It seems I need to make modifications to the response file.
Does anyone have an idea what modifications have to be made on the response and admin file?
What is the syntax of the response file? How about the admin file?
The silent install used to work before when the entire MQ cd was copied to the server first. I would like to avoid having to do the copy as it takes ages (the manual says the install would only take 5 mins!). Is there anyway around having to do the copy???
