To start a trigger monitor, go into MQServices. Right click on the queue manager name and select new->Trigger Monitor. Fill in the details.

What should be filled in for queue name? What if it was left blank?

Thanks

Check your application triggered queue for the INITQ attribute.

Then put the INITQ attribute value as your trigger monitor's initiation queue.

The default initiation queue for the trigger monitor is SYSTEM.DEFAULT.INITIATION.QUEUE

later

jillsam or Roger,

Were either of you able to trigger your application ok when you defined the trigger monitor under the MQServices? For the longest time now I cannot get my application to be triggered when I define the trigger monitor via MQServices; however, when I start the trigger monitor via the DOS command ">runmqtrm -m ... -q...", I'm able to trigger my application program fine. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Alex
