Hi All,
We are currently on AS400 and we have MQ 7.1. The Queue Manager is on the AS400 and we have another vendor application on the same network trying to connect to the AS400 make the MQ connect Put and Get Messages.
This is the scenario now. We have a monitoring in place to alert if there are messages backed up in the MQ since these are high critical applications involving robots. Every time we have this scenario where the messages are clogged we bring in AS400 teams, Network Teams, Vendors and try to hash out the problem. THe issue is the messages are being successfully placed on the AS400 but the vendor says they are seeing the message only after 15 minutes. The network team sees no spike in network activities.
What can be the issue and how can we add traces to find out where the issue lies. |

By 'are seeing the messages only after 15 minutes' do you mean that the consuming application does not start until after the first message arrives in the queue? Is the queue triggered to start the application? Or, is a timer set to start the application?
A bit more details, please. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

Hi Bruce,
Thanks for your reply. They are automatically set to Pull Messages as soon as the first message arrives at the MQ. The application constantly looks for messages in the MQ and pulls the information.
Regards,

So, have you displayed queue depth? Are there messages in the queue?
Are any uncommitted messages in the queue? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
