Hi,
I have requirement of storing and retrieving the images during the process flow.
We have workflow 3.3.2 and WAS 4.0. Which Content manager or Image manager is suitable to store and how to call images in JSP pages ?
I need to store the customer complaint forms electronically and should be shown at each activity level. It should be possible to write note on image if required.
If anybody have worked on image processing with workflow please share your views

Thanks,
Mahesh

Mahesh,
We use FileNET for documnet management.

This is exactly what we are doing. We get enrollment applications from users. We scan the image using "Dakota" scanners. The image will be stored on FileNet with a unique key. The key will be used as our workflow instance name and we access the image from JSP passing the key as a parameter on URL.
The problem you may encounter would be, FileNET is totally asp and you need to call ASP from your JSP page. This we handle it in different frames, so one frame contains the JSP and the other contains the asp.

I am still trying to find out if we have java/jsp interface for FileNET.
Hope this helps

We are using IBM's Content Manager V7.1 and MQWF 3.3.0 CSD4. Go to IBM's web site for details. There are many manuals available. Alternative would be FileNet's Panagon Imaging Services. Find more info from WWW.FILENET.COM.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Ivan

Hi Ivan,
Company has decided to go with IBM CONTENT MANAGER for storing and retrieving. Is it similar to FILEnet for access? what is the logic that you are using to call images in JSP page?
Please send me a link of book which tells about integrating workflow with IBM CONTENT manager.

Thanks
Mahesh
