Yes. IBM in India know, and have probably put it on a web site somewhere. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Write the exam? You're setting the questions?
Those of you with IBM AVP support might want to know that free IBM certification vouchers are available to the named callers (one per calendar year per caller), or at least they were offered to our account anyway by our AVP rep.
AVP = Accelerated Value Program - a chargeable service, but one that I can recommend. |

"write the exam," "sit the exam" = figures of speech. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

I'll add it to my mental list of Americanisms.
Still can't get my head around "lucked out" when they mean "in luck". |

This is not an 'Americanism'. The OP is from 'INDIA'. _________________ http://leanpub.com/IIB_Tips_and_Tricks

The OP never used the phrase. And a straw poll of locally sited Americans indicate "lucked out" is an American term, albeit a rather dated one apparently.
I still struggle with the language. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

To quote a line or two of dialogue from one of my favourite parody films:
"What do you mean, my people?"
"No, what do you mean, my people?" _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

It's not just me that struggles with the language. Many natives struggle with it.
Or that may just be natives of certain parts of the US. And my brother in law. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I've never heard of "write" an exam. "do" "sit" or "take" are the common verbs in Australia. _________________ Glenn |
