I need to talk to a SQL Server database from WMQI on Solaris 8. Is anyone doing this? Any suggestions on which ODBC driver to use?

DataDirect (Merant) does provide ODBC drivers for accessing SQLServer from Solaris, but I don't think that they are included w/ WMQI. You'll probably have to buy the extra drivers.
