Hello,

I am getting the below mentioned error when trying to create a adapter connection for SAP:

The resource adapter named 'IBM WebSphere Adapter for SAP Software' returned the following error: 'Failure in connection to EIS Exception in connecting to SAP:Exception in connecting to SAP:Connect from SAP gateway to RFC server failed

Can you please tell me what are the possible reasons for this problem as i am able to telnet from my local machine to the IP address of the SAP server?

Did you follow the step-by-step instructions for adapter configuration?

If so, which step failed to complete successfully?
