Hi,
Recently, we met weblogic coredump several times. From coredump log you can see that it was happened during clsoing a XA transaction which involves MQSeries and Oracle. Does anyone has ideas?
platform information:
1. HP-UX 11.0
2. jdk 1.3.0
3. weblogic 6.1
4. Oracle thin driver 8.1.7
5. MQSeries 5.2
6. MA88 released 31Jan01 current version: 2
The following is coredump log.

Here is error log:
------------------------------------------
07/12/01 16:18:51
AMQ6209: An unexpected asynchronous signal (2) has been received and ignored.
EXPLANATION:
Process 6588 received an unexpected asynchronous signal and ignored it. This
has not caused an error but the source of the signal should be determined as it
is likely that the signal has been generated externally to MQSeries. Use the
UNIX system command kill with option -l to determine the symbolic name for
signal 2.
ACTION:
Determine the source of the signal and prevent it from re-occurring.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
07/12/01 16:18:52
AMQ6183: An internal MQSeries error has occurred.
EXPLANATION:
An error has been detected, and the MQSeries error recording routine has been
called. The failing process is process 6588.
ACTION:
Use the standard facilities supplied with your system to record the problem
identifier, and to save the generated output files. Contact your IBM support
center. Do not discard these files until the problem has been resolved.

AMQ5009: MQSeries agent process 8698 has terminated unexpectedly.
EXPLANATION:
MQSeries has detected that an agent process has terminated unexpectedly. The
queue manager connection(s) that this process is responsible for will be
broken.
ACTION:
Use any previous FFSTs to determine the reason for the failure. Try to
eliminate the following reasons before contacting your IBM support center.
1) A user has inadvertently terminated the process.
2) The system is low on resources. Some operating systems terminate processes
to free resources. If your system is low on resources, it is possible that
the operating system has terminated the process so that a new process can be
created.

AMQ7159: A FASTPATH application has ended unexpectedly.
EXPLANATION:
A FASTPATH application has ended in a way which did not allow the queue manager
to clean up the resources owned by that application. Any resources held by the
application can only be released by stopping and restarting the queue manager.
ACTION:
Investigate why the application ended unexpectedly. Avoid ending FASTPATH
applications in a way which prevents MQSeries from releasing resources held by
the application.

Hi I'm getting the same error but with Websphere 4.0.3, W2K, DB2 7, and MQ 5.3. I can see that the transaction manager is trying to tidy up any in doubt transactions when the MQ "stuff" goes bang. And I know that you can delete the transaction log to get rid of the error, but this is not really an acceptable solution. Did you find another solution to the problem
Thanks

Pardon my ignorance, but: where do you even start in order to use MQ JMS with WebLogic? We have an app running under WL 6.1, migrating to 7, and are using non-JMS (straight Java) MQ API largely because we didn't figure out how to use MQ JMS without running WebSphere app server (not an option in our environment).
Any pointers will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Leonid |

Obviously I havne't done this so I''m not use how applicable the following info will be
The way you use JMS with Websphere is by using a util called JMSAdmin. This will allow you to add both a JMS Connection factory and JMS queue to your JNDI tree, given the correct drivers and URL etc. These enteries will be linked to the real MQ queue and queue manager, It should then just be a question of ensureing that WL can access the correct MQ classes. The following article
http://www.ibm.com/software/integration/mqfamily/library/manualsa/csqzaw/csqzaw.htm will help using JMSAdmin
Its not a particulary easy doc to understand but the essential info on how to use JMSAdmin.exe is all in there. IF your using MQ 5.2 the the JMS stuff is a separate download. The files come build into 5.3. The problem you may have is with your JVM, as there is one particular error you could get "NoClassDefFoundError" com/ibm/rmi/iiop/GIOPVersionException
which means you have to use the IBM/websphere JVM for your JNDI (see http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/ibm/library/i-jms2/) , which as you using WL could nobble the whole thing for you. Hope this helps |
