Currently in Production, we have a flow which has SAPInput node connected to MQOutput node and receives around 6000 to 7000 IDOCS per hour from SAP.
From past couple of weeks, we saw scenarios where 1 or 2 IDOCs are not received by the flow at some point of time.
Did you see any such scenarios earlier?
Ensure assured-once event delivery is checked on the SAPInput node and has 12 numberOfListeners. Flow has 4 Additional Instances |

You only have five instances total. This is not enough.
Your average load is two IDocs per second. I could easily extrapolate a peak load for two dozen IDocs per second.
If your total latency per transaction is ten seconds, you need two dozen transactions per second peak load times ten seconds is 240 total instances, not five.
I'm surprised your not dropping more transactions. _________________ http://leanpub.com/IIB_Tips_and_Tricks

Hi,
How is your flow's exception / error handling designed and implemented?

@lancelotlinc With the current settings, throughput is pretty much good enough. Also, SAP is set to have 15 MAXCONN for the rfc destination.
I was trying to google out and found that there is already an open defect with IBM about IDOCS missing (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27017768&aid=1 on page 24)
We raised PMR and waiting for the reply. |

I'm not suggesting you make more than MAXCONN connections on the SAP server. What I am suggesting is that you have sufficient WMB threads to handle your peak demand. You do not currently have enough. Five threads is not enough. _________________ http://leanpub.com/IIB_Tips_and_Tricks
