I've just got a question from my peers about a client WMQ production scenario and performance. Details are
WMQ 7.1.0.4
NFSv3 on SAN
SLES 10 for WMQ runtime
< 50% CPU usage, enough free memory all time
appr. 500 GByte logs per day
Are there parameters to improve the write performance significantly, especially with regard to the NFSv3 (messages, logs, etc.)?
Any hints are really appreciated. |

Always start to answer these questions by reviewing the Performance Reports. |

Start with a google search for nfs v3 performance. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

Get rid of the NFS part of this if you can. Your performance (if it is I/O limited) will be much better if you can get a direct connection to your SAN. |
