Hi All,

Recently we have upgraded our WMB version from 6.1.0.3 to 6.1.0.9.
We were using a user defined node in 6.1.0.3. In version 6.1.0.9, we are getting below error message in user defined node.

I have checked the jar file in classpath with permission and all looks okay.

Do I need to take care any other things while upgrading/after upgrade WMB for User Defined Nodes?

Looks like a class loading issue. If you are migrating, why not to Version 8? Why spend all that time and trouble to migrate and still be on Version 6?

Did you do the correct thing, and define a custom LIL path that was not under the Broker install path and put your user defined nodes in this location?

Or did you do the wrong thing and stick them in the jplugin directory, or even worse in classes?

Always create your own deployment location for user defined nodes and always modify the broker's LIL path to point to that location.

Very likely you have managed to delete your user defined node implementations.

Sigh.

I know it is Chrtistmas and all that but for many companies, migrating to V8 before FP1 is released is a big step too far. Some are still contemplating a move to V7.
In some places, upgrades move at a pace that make snails seem like Concorde.

If you have moved to V8 already then great but if I were in charge of your system, I'd want to do a whole load more testing on it. Migrating a Production system to a piece of software that has only been available for a month is a sure fire way to get fired IMHO. With Christmas/new year code freezes, moving live systems to V8 before say April 2012 should be laughed out of the door.

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.
