we are upgrading the aix oslevel from 5.2 to 5.3 , which has mq server version 530.10 ...if i'm replacing the /var/mqm data will it work .. how i can make the existing queue managers running ........can anyone suggest _________________ SMV
Back up your entire /var/mqm directory structure, and anything else related to your very out of date installation. Then warn your management that if it doesn't work afterwards, and that you have taken every precaution to safeguard the very out of date installation (if on V5.3 you should be at least on the final FixPack, which is 14 from what I can remember) that an upgrade to a supported version of WMQ is not just advisable, but imperative. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys.
