Dear Experts,
I searched in WMB (version 6.0) documentation about this topic, but I could not find the answer.
So, when I change a datasource property in the odbc.ini file, what should I restart? Broker, or Execution Group, nothing?
So, when will the odbc.ini read again?
(And version 7.0?)
Thank You! |

There's some discussion of when the broker will create and release connections.
In general, you need to assume that at least the EG has to be restarted for it to pick up changes to DSNs. |

I offer you this:
Quote: |
The user ID and password pair is created in the DSN folder under the broker registry folder.
You can run the mqsisetdbparms command while the broker is running. However, you must stop and start each execution group that uses a particular DSN, before that information is read and used by that execution group |
Given that the DSN folder is linked to the odbc.ini, the implication is clear that at least an EG restart is required. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

That's perfect!
And it has reference to version 6.1 broker, maybe 6.0 is the same.
Thank You. |
