I am very new to Jenkins and I have a requirement to put a document together for detailing about Jenkins. Ideally the document has to contain the following:

1) How Jenkins can be used for Message Broker Builds.

2) Different processes involved in Jenkins for executing the Deployments in Message Broker environments.

3) The ability to re-deploy a whole environment on request (ie, deploy all message flows at once)

4) The ability to deploy all message flows related to a project or release to a specified environment.

5) How Jenkins can be used to automate unit testing on a re-occuring / regular basis.

6) Pros and Cons of using Jenkins.

It would be great if anyone can help me to go through the documentation process specific to points mentioned above.
I have gone through the link https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/ which is very extended and I am not able to filter the basic need of mine. Please help me at urgent basis. Many thnaks.

Doing this sort of thing with Hudson/Jenkins takes time and effort. It is not a quick fix.
As this is a customer requirement, I am sure that some of my esteemed colleagues will be along shortly offering their services at quite competitive rates. ($400US per day upwards)

What I'm saying is that you have been given a task that you obvioulsy do not have the pre-requisite skills for and to add insult to injury, this has to be done 'yesterday'.

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

Try this http://www.wakaleo.com/download-ci-with-hudson
It's only 417 pages.

Funny, but I think somebody recently asked exactly the same thing about 'Jetkins'. He got the answer, but it was not a very polite one. I tried to search, but the thread seems to have disappeared. Have I been dreaming, again?

I suppose there's some question of polite.

I find that a large amount of politeness is carried, or lost, in tone of voice.

So while saying "excuse me, ma'am" is, textually, a very polite phrase... it's very easy to express it in very impolite manners.

But, yes, I believe I was the guilty party who reminded the other poster that they were asking for someone else to do the job they were getting paid for, and not offering to compensate said someone else. And this seemed a bit of an impolite action to me.

I think your reply was polite enough. Actually, I was asking if someone had deleted the previous topic. But no, I found it just about twenty topics down: http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=59562

The funny thing is that if you search this forum for 'jetkins' you don't get any matches! Or you do, but they are all for 'Jenkins'. I guess google does not index misspelled words?

I think you mean per hour, not per day.
