Case matters.
Channels: should be CHANNELS:
If you look in the MQ 6 Info center they do use both styles in different parts of the info center as they talk about this stanza, but the example ini files in the info center do use CHANNELS:
I don't have access to a system to verify what we have. I do remember years ago the case of a stanza gave us problems until we finally got it right (no help to the manuals which had conflicting examples).
The values you chose for the Adopt MCA parms are..curious. Perhaps totally valid for what you are trying to accomplish, but still. For example, why limit adoption to only that channel type? But I don't think the Adopt MCA values have anything to do with your Max Channels problem. _________________ Peter Potkay

I've tried uppercase "CHANNELS:" as well as "Channels:". As I've mentioned above, I have tried successfully to lower the maximum number, so I'm confident that the configuration is read and parsed correctly; I believe there must be some other setting somewhere that overrides a max number above 100.
As for the Adopt MCA parameters: I didn't choose them, and I don't know why they have been set. I probably could try without them, but I'd rather not alter the parts of the configuration that doesn't have to do with the problem. |

I've suggested an upgrade, but that decision is not mine to make.
Edit June 2014: the upgrade never happened, and the system integration migrated to a different solution. I never got to the bottom of the issue.
Thanks for your help and suggestions. |
