Hi All,
I have installed websphere MQ and MBv6.0. I am using db2 as the broker database. I am using the local system user id and password for broker data base.
Unfortunately, I need to change my network password every 45 days. So when I change the password the broker and config manager stop communicating with the db2.
when I try to deploy or undeploy I get the following error.
Code: |
( WBRK6_BROKER ) The broker made an unsuccessful attempt to access its database 'DEFBKDB6' with userid 'adivya_yadav'.
The broker's database could not be accessed using the userid and password supplied.
Ensure that the database is running and that the userid and password are correct.

( WBRK6_BROKER ) Database error: SQL State ''08001''; Native Error Code '-30082'; Error Text ''[IBM][CLI Driver] SQL30082N Attempt to establish connection failed with security reason "24" ("USERNAME AND/OR PASSWORD INVALID"). SQLSTATE=08001 ''.
The error has the following diagnostic information: SQL State ''08001'' SQL Native Error Code '-30082' SQL Error Text ''[IBM][CLI Driver] SQL30082N Attempt to establish connection failed with security reason "24" ("USERNAME AND/OR PASSWORD INVALID"). SQLSTATE=08001 '' |
This message may be accompanied by other messages describing the effect on the message broker itself. Use the reason identified in this message with the accompanying messages to determine the cause of the error.
Please can anyone suggest a permanent solution to the problem. |

Upgrade to WMBv7. No database = no database id problems.
(And of course no config manager = no config manager problems) _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Then run the broker components with a local id that has a non-expiring password. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I said a local id, i.e. not yours. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

you need to change your broker & config manager service id password and data source password if you have mentioned your network id during the installation every time when your password expired.
or you have to create a local user on same machine add that user into mqm , mqbrkrs and db2admns group.
replace the service id & password of broker & config manager with local user id & password.
restart the service; it will work.

Given that's also what I suggested, you're welcome. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Using whatever method is relevant for the OS you're using.
Speak to whoever administers the box. You might need them to do it anyway depending on your site security standards. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
