Hi all,
I have developped an JAVA application based on MQBase API to retrieve message from a webSphere MQ Server by TCP/IP.
My Application is triggered by the Trigger Monitor Client.
My customer would like to use WebMethods tomorow.
I don't know anything about webmethods. I don't know what kind of problem I will have.
The method to connect to the server will be different ?
How I retreive messages ? Can I still triggered my application ?
I know, there are many questions... but I'm little bit desesperate.
(I'm sorry for my english)
Thank you in advance

Hi,
MQSeries (basic Messaging) is different from WebMethods.
WebMethods is a EAI tool not a pure messaging.
IBM MQSI can be considered EAI equivalent to WebMethods
In this case, MQSeries Queue Manager will remain the same.
The application which reads the message from MQQueue can be replaced by WebMethods MQSeries adapter (provided by WebMethods).
ie., your MQJAVA application will be replaced by WebMethods MQ Adapter.
WebMethods is used for processing the message from MQQueue.
WebMethods has adapters for different applications like JDEdwards, MainFrame, EDI, SAP....
so in u r case it may replace MQSeries Server -- it all depends on u r application. Most of the cases it (WM) can't replace and depends on MQSeries.
