If you are sure that the user has run the mqsiprofile then raise a PMR

There does not exist a mqsiprofile on this computer. I uninstalled and reinstalled the message broker toolkit and still no mqsiprofile file anywhere on the computer. Is toolkit 7.0 supposed to have this file?

FNG. Goto Programs -> IBM WebSphere Message Broker 7.0 -> Command Console.

The OP needs to be using the WMB 7 command console to run mqsicreatebar. If not, mqsicreatebar crashes.

@patg -- have you taken the requisite training on mqsicreatebar? (ie. IBM provided training course WM663) ?

I guess I do not understand your short hand.

Do you mean cd \program files\IBM\WMBT700

If so, neither command console nor mqsiprofile exist here.

FROM THE START BUTTON ON MICROSOFT WINDOWS GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE, WITH YOUR MOUSE, CLICK START -> PROGRAMS -> IBM WebSphere Message Broker 7.0 -> Command Console.

HAVE YOU ATTENDED THE IBM TRAINING COURSE YET? IF NOT WHY NOT?

Please take the training, then post questions. Please do not post questions before taking the training.

Do you need me to post the link to sign up for the IBM-provided training?

Why we need to run mqsiprofile for executing MQSI workbench command like mqsicreatebar (or mqsiapplybaroverride, mqsicreatemsgdefs, mqsicreatemsgdefsfromwsdl) . I believe mqsiprofile will NOT come with Broker toolkit installation instead it comes with Broker Runtime installation and we need to run mqsiprofile before we execute MQSI run time commands like mqsideploy.

Please confirm that you are using Toolkit version 7, and at least FixPack 2 of Broker version 7 - so Toolkit 7.0.0.2. It's not in the material you've posted.

Please examine the Event log for more information about why mqsicreatebar failed. Please examine the workspace .metadata directory for the .log file for more information about why mqiscreatebar failed

On my Windows XP System I have both 6.1.0.9 & 7.0.0.3 installed
Code:

C:\>cd ibm\WMBT610

C:\IBM\WMBT610>mqsicreatebar.exe
BIP0955I Compile a broker archive file from source.
Syntax: mqsicreatebar -data workspace -b barName [-version id] [-esql21]
        [-p projectName [...]] -o filePath1 [filePath2 [...]]
Command Options:
'-data workspace' workspace location (Mandatory)
'-b barName' bar file name to create or replace
'-cleanBuild' refresh the workspace projects and perform a clean build before ad
ding
'-version id' appends '_' and id to compiled names in the archive (optional)
'-esql21' compile ESQL for brokers version 2.1 (optional)
'-p projectName' specify projects containing files to link (optional, multiple
        projects can be specified)
'-o filePath1' workspace relative path (including the project) of deployable
files to add to the broker archive. Multiple deployable files can be com
piled
        in a single mqsicreatebar command.

Perhaps your toolkit is not installed properly?

On an aside, do we still need to have a mention of V2.1 in the output text?
