Probably a wrong forum! but having implemented SOA Webservices in WMB and other Websphere tools, I think I can expect an answer.

I am working on exposing a webservice which takes in ACORD request for Auto Insurance Quote request from a Vendor.
I wanted to know what is the best practice for sending an error , should it be a SOAP Fault or a custom ACORD message?
which is more appealing or preferred?
can anyone tell me which is the best way to implement this?
