In the FileInput node, The input directory under the Basic tab, Server directory under FTP tab. Shouldn't they be the same? When it comes to Processing file from FTP server.

No.

On the FTP tab 'Server Directory' points to the directory on the remote server.

On the Basic tab 'Input Directory' points to the directory on the broker machine (ie local).

If the FTP is being used inside the FileInput node the node FTP's the file from the 'Server Directory' on the remote server to the 'Input Directory' on the broker (or local) server.

Then the node does any parsing of the file into whatever records you have configured it to output.

The 'Server Directory' and the 'Input Directory' are totally independent of each other. One is a source directory and one is a destination directory of the FTP process you are requesting.

This issue got resolved after pointing to the right InputDirectory folder which is existing on the broker. The FileInput node doesn't create directory if it doesn't exist. I didn't know that as it was the first time i am using this node.
