I believe there a number of Third-party offerings that will do want you want but the question is, what is it about the activity in 'this' queue manager that has you concerned?

I am asked to generate a report regarding how many msgs our qmgr received/sent and how large are those msgs for 24x7.
Then I come up with this question.
Here I got the answers: MS0P, MH04, MH05. I should give them a try.

thanks everybody!

Messages sent/received (over channels) is not always the same as messages puts and gets.

However MS0P will show all the info you need, channel stats, queue stats, messages stats - all are available if you enable the collection of the data.

Start with MQISTAT at the queue manager level and see if that is enough for your requirements. You need to wait for the collection interval to expire before you will see the first results.

OK, you've informed us that you've been tasked to produce the report, but what is the business case for it? Or the technical reason for doing so?

And they have also enlisted the help of the system admins and network admins so they have a full end-to-end view during the test window?
