Hi friends,

I got a requirement to write a message which is > 4MB into a queue using MQOutput node. Can anybody provide ESQL code to add segmentation prperty in MQMD and split the message into two pieces and write them in a queue as two grouped messages? Thanks in advance.

MQ can handle much larger messages then 4Mb.
Is there some reason why the Queue Manager & the Queue properties can't be altered to allow the message to be sent in one go. This will IMHO be a lot simple and far more manageable/maintainable than writing some ESQL +++ to do the segmentation.

The 4Mb limit is only the OOTB default on a Queue Manager that has also been created/configured to use the default Max message length. Most Queue Managers I've come upon in Production use a good degree of tuning to enhance their operation from the OOTB defaults.

A similar question to this was asked about a week ago by yourself....

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.
