Well, here is what I use for the default trigger monitor and it seems to work fine for me...

Code:
DEFINE SERVICE(SYSTEM.DEF.TRIGGER.MONITOR) +
       CONTROL(QMGR) +
       SERVTYPE(SERVER) +
       STARTCMD('+MQ_INSTALL_PATH+bin/runmqtrm') +
       STARTARG('-m +QMNAME+ -q SYSTEM.DEFAULT.INITIATION.QUEUE') +
       STOPCMD('+MQ_INSTALL_PATH+bin/amqsstop') +
       STOPARG('-m +QMNAME+ -p +MQ_SERVER_PID+')

Of course, you should only run a trigger monitor if you need one.

Tried it... works fine to stop the service.

It just does not report the service as being stopped in the status list. The service just does not show up in the status list...
Restarted the service and now it shows up as running.
