Hi,
I have installed WMB Toolkit 7.0.0.2 (32-bit) on a 64-bit Windows 7 PC.
I am experiencing a terrible slowness when typing in the ESQL editor.
For example, when typing "asdfasfsdfasgjlaksgdflg" it takes about 6 seconds from typing until this text is completely displayed in the editor.
However, typing in message flow node properties text boxes does not suffer from a delay.
I've tried to google this, but have not yet found any solution to this.
I also have WMB Toolkit 6.1.0.3 installed on the same computer and it doesn't have this slowness when typing in the ESQL editor.
Have you experienced the same problem?
If you did, how did you solve it?

Update:
I have not yet created a PMR for this issue.
I tried to do a rollback of the Fixpack 02 installation for WMB Toolkit V7 using IBM Installation Manager.
That did not work, eclipse could not start, terminated with error message.
So I uninstalled WMB Toolkit V7 completely and then reinstalled it with fixpack level 01.
After the re-install I still couldn't start WMB toolkit V7.0.0.1 at first.
I tried renaming the ".eclipse" folder under C:\Users\myusername\ to ".eclipse.old" and then the WMB Toolkit started successfully.
I don't experience the "slow typing" problem when using WMB Toolkit V7.0.0.1.  |

Yes.
This is a defect in 7.0.0.2.
If you open a PMR, you will get a fix. That will allow you to use 7.0.0.2 Toolkit, including all of the new nodes in 7.0.0.2.
Or you can just wait until the first iFix level of 7.0.0.2, which will almost certainly include this fix. |

The slow responsiveness during typing in the ESQL editor has been fixed and is available in iFix 001, which was released on March 10, 2011. You can obtain this fix by running the IBM Installation Manager and updating your toolkit.
