Hi
I'm looking for some input from someone who has configured WAS applications (Connection Factories, Listener Ports and Activation Specifications) with MQ auto-reconnection for a Multi-Instance queue manager?
We've configured this setup in our environment and the auto-reconnection works with Listener Port and Activation Specification, but does not work with a Non-XA connection factory.
For example, if the Non-XA connection factory is used from an App, which is only putting messages to a Queue, the app will fail when MQ fails over to the standby instance. The next attepmt from the app to put messages will work, as the connection factory is now connected to the standby instance of the queue manager. We would like to enable the MQ auto-reconnect feature and avoid the App failures when MQ is failing over to the other instance.
Please let me know if you have configured MQ Multi-Instance queue managers with WAS applications and how you are dealing with auto-reconnection for connection factories.
