Does the WMB 6.1 or later (which?) provide out-of-the-box support to act as a provider in the WS-MetadataExchange standard?

This sounds more like something WSRR would provide than Broker.

That said,

What do you mean by out-of-the-box support? What would you want WMB to do out-of-the-box? Out of the box it doesn't do very much at all. It's a tool to help you integrate applications.

So as the doc says "WebSphere® Message Broker complies with the supported Web services standards and specifications, in that you can generate and deploy Web services that are compliant."

Presumably to act as a provider of metadata about the web services that are being hosted in Broker, through WS-MetadataExchange protocol.

I guess so, but you're not going to get that out of the box. You have to build it.

Exactly what I meant!

fatherjack: I believe this functionality would be natural to provide out-of-the box activated by a deployment of a flow having a SOAPInput node. The WSDL file really is all you need so why should every developer need to implement the function? There are other web service provider frameworks doing it out-of-the-box.

Yes, it should be mentioned here if it was implemented. Thanks!

Hello. WS-MEX is not currently supported by WMB.

Kind Regards,
